You do not have to use a humidifier that adds water directly onto the surface of the pillow like some sleep machines. Rather, all you need to do is purchase a simple humidifier and put it near your bed so it creates moist air naturally.
Use a sugar-free cough drop
After you swallow the popcorn, use your mouth to push it down in your throat until it disappears. But if this doesn’t work, try using a sugar-free cough drop so that you can easily spit out what you don’t chew or swallow.
Many people choose liquid glucose because it is usually mixed with another ingredient first, which makes it easier to taste. Your saliva will help dissolve any leftover pieces.
Try an oral rinse
One of the most popular ways to get popcorn out of your throat is by using an oral rinse. This can be done at home or in a professional setting with their help.
Oral rinses are usually comprised of either alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. Both work similarly in getting rid of yeast or fungus that may be causing symptoms.
Alcohol is typically used as a wash for mouth and throat while hydrogen peroxide works better if you cannot use alcohol due to health conditions.
Both are easy to find at most drugstores and grocery stores. People have mixed results when using them, some saying they do not work and others saying it does!

If they manage to avoid swallowing the popcorn, then at least they will have the next few minutes to re-focus and relax before starting the next thing on their list.
Avoid eating too much sugar
