Acrylic paint is one of the most popular painting media today. It can be painted on, applied with a brush, mixed and created, or even mixed and created!

Buy liquid acrylic paint
When you decide to make your painting, the first step is to buy liquid acrylic paint. You can find it at any art supply store or online seller.
At most stores, they will sell you a range of colors that go well with other paintings. Some offer pure acrylic paint, while others mix water and powdered paint.
When mixing the two together, remember that water is the core of the paint. When painting solid objects like furniture or decorations, start with a bit less water and add more if necessary.

Mix the two together in equal amounts
When painting with acrylic paint, it is important to use the right amount of paint. An easy way to make too much paint and have some left over!
Paint can be hard to measure. Most systems that count paint used, say, eighteen drops of paint per four cups of water. That means if you used two cups of water, you would put away two paintings in four months!
How much paint you use depends on what color you are painting and what texture you are looking for. For example, a bright red painted surface might need more paint than a soft pink painted surface. Both require some dry time before painting next.

Shake vigorously before use
Acrylic paint is one of the harder painting media to make. This is due to the fact that it requires a primer, colourant, and a brush to make.
Primer makes the paint look smooth and creamy, and helps set the colourant and ensures that it does not dry white or solppy.
An alternate method of making acrylic paint is by using resorcinol.
Use immediately after mixing
Once you mix the paint, you have to use it immediately! The paint will harden in the package, but if you use it right off the package, you can create your own paint right after!
Acrylic paint is a medium that allows you to add color to your work. It does not dry instantly, so be careful not to overdo it or it will break!
